Prep Time: 20 mins
Cook Time: 25 mins
Total Time: 45 mins
Cuisine: Gluten Free
Serves: 12 rolls

Ingredients

  1. 2 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour
  2. 1/4 cup sugar
  3. 1 tablespoon baking powder
  4. 1/2 teaspoon salt
  5. 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  6. 1/4 cup melted butter
  7. 1 egg
  8. 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  9. 1/4 cup brown sugar
  10. 1/2 cup icing sugar (for glaze)
  11. 1 tablespoon milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together gluten-free flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix melted butter, milk, and egg until smooth and fully incorporated.
  4. Gradually pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients, stirring until a soft, slightly sticky dough forms. If the dough seems too dry, add an extra tablespoon of milk.
  5. Place the dough between two sheets of parchment paper and roll out into a rectangular shape, approximately 12x9 inches.
  6. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon for the filling.
  7. Remove the top parchment paper and sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly across the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  8. Using the bottom parchment paper, carefully roll the dough into a tight log, starting from the long side.
  9. Using a sharp knife or dental floss, cut the log into 12 equal pieces.
  10. Place the rolls into the prepared baking pan, leaving a small space between each roll.
  11. Bake in the preheated oven for 22-25 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the centers are cooked through.
  12. While rolls are baking, prepare the glaze by mixing icing sugar with milk until smooth and slightly runny.
  13. Remove rolls from oven and let cool for 5 minutes, then drizzle with glaze while still warm.
  14. Serve immediately and enjoy the gooey, warm cinnamon rolls!

Tips

  1. Always use a high-quality gluten-free all-purpose flour blend for the best texture and rise.
  2. Don't skip the parchment paper – it makes rolling and cutting the dough much easier.
  3. If the dough feels too sticky, refrigerate it for 10-15 minutes before rolling.
  4. Use dental floss for the cleanest, most even roll cuts.
  5. Check your rolls around the 20-minute mark to prevent over-browning.
  6. Warm rolls are always best – serve immediately for maximum gooey goodness!
  7. For extra moisture, brush the rolls with a little melted butter before baking.
  8. Store any leftovers in an airtight container and warm slightly before serving.
